Directions for use of the article Ellen pH-Control Test Strips: Ellen pH-Control Test Strips are a quick and easy self-test to check your vaginal pH. With ellen® Vaginal pH-Control® you can easily check your vaginal pH level to detect an unbalanced pH in the genital area at an early stage. This test strip can be used after antibiotic treatment, pelvic treatment, if you suspect bacterial vaginosis, during pregnancy, if you have a foul-smelling genital area or if you have general irritation, itching or imbalance in the genital area. An acidic environment in the genital area is important for good health. There are various reasons for a change in pH, such as sex, stress, menstruation or antibiotic treatment. With ellen® Vaginal pH-Control® you can detect an imbalance in vaginal pH early and better understand your intimate area. The test contains 5 disposable test applicators for measuring vaginal pH, instructions for use and a pH colour scale on the foil pouch. It is recommended to be used twice a week. The test strip is an approved medical device and consists of a vaginal applicator with an integrated pH measuring strip. The vaginal applicator is inserted approx. 1 to 3 cm deep into the vagina and gently pressed against the posterior vaginal wall with the pH measuring zone. The pH value is read after 10 seconds.
