Soventol® HydroCortisone Acetate 0.5% Cremogel is a product that has a particularly quick and effective anti-inflammatory effect on acute skin irritations such as eczema, contact allergies, inflamed bites or painful sunburn.It immediately relieves itching, is effectively anti-inflammatory and has a particularly rapid effect against swelling and redness.

The novel nature of the Cremogel combines several scientifically proven benefits.The interaction of the active ingredient hydrocortisone acetate and the Cremogel base enables a particularly rapid influx of active ingredients.The lipophilic active ingredient is released very quickly from the hydrophilic base, creating an additional cooling effect.This promotes very quick itch relief.

The active ingredient hydrocortisone has a wide range of positive effects - from anti-allergic to anti-inflammatory to anti-itching.These can develop particularly quickly thanks to the hydrocortisone acetate connection.As an acetate, hydrocortisone can be released very well from the Cremogel galenics and quickly transported into the skin in order to be effective and have a long-lasting effect.The external use of hydrocortisone acetate has proven effective for allergic skin reactions.

Area of application

Skin diseases such as inflammatory, allergic or itchy dermatoses are treated with Soventol® HydroCortisone Acetate 0.5% for skin inflammation.The active ingredient hydrocortisone (acetate) has proven effective against sunburn, insect bites, itchy skin, sun allergy, neurodermatitis, itching, eczema and against skin reactions caused by the oak processionary moth caterpillar.

Soventol® HydroCortisone Acetate 0.5% for skin inflammation contains the following active ingredients and excipients: 5 mg hydrocortisone acetate, 4.48 mg hydrocortisone, acrylate/C10-30 alkyl acrylate cross polymer, ammonia, decyl oleate, disodium edetat 2 water, isopropyl myristate, isopropyl alcohol, macrogol 400, paraffin, thick, perfume oil andwater, purified.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned, the product should not be used.The medicine must not be used in children under 6 years of age, for a period of more than 14 days, in hypersensitivity to hydrocortisone or any of the other ingredients, in specific skin processes such as skin tuberculosis or syphilis, in virus-related skin diseases such as herpes simplex or herpes zoster, in skin reactions after vaccinations, in rosacea-like dermatitis, acne and rosacea, in fungal infections and bacterial skin infections, under occlusive conditions, in the eye and oneyelid and during the first trimester of pregnancy.

Dosage

Recommended use of Soventol® HydroCortisone Acetate 0.5% for skin inflammation: Use the cream 1 to 2 times a day in the morning and/or evening.For children, one application a day is usually sufficient.Apply the cream in a thin layer.To do this, put a small amount on a fingertip and then rub the cream lightly onto the affected skin areas.

Intake

The Cremogel is applied thinly to the skin and rubbed in lightly.

Patient information

Particular care is required when using the particularly sensitive facial area.To avoid skin changes, the product should only be used on the face with particular caution.Large area application should be avoided.For children over 6 years of age, external treatment should be carried out with restraint and only on small areas.If the cream is used in the genital or anal area and latex products at the same time, the functionality may be reduced and the safety of these products may be impaired due to the excipients they may contain.

Pregnancy

The cream must not be used during the first trimester of pregnancy.In later stages of pregnancy, the preparation may only be used after a careful risk-benefit assessment.In particular, during pregnancy it should be avoided that the application is carried out over large areas, over a long period of time or under occlusive dressings.Breastfeeding should be stopped during breastfeeding if the preparation is used over large areas or for a long time, as the active ingredient hydrocortisone passes into breast milk.In addition, contact of the infant with the treated areas of skin should be avoided.
