Application

Step 1: Place the test stand on a flat surface.Gently withdraw the diluent from the tip of the test tube.Insert the diluent into the test stand and press down with your finger.

Step 2: Wash your hands, preferably with warm water and dry them.Open the packages containing the alcohol swab and the sterile swab.Disinfect your fingertip with the alcohol wipe and let the finger dry.Remove the clear cap from the safety lancet.Place the red end of the lancet on the side of your fingertip, then press down firmly on the lancet to pierce the skin with the needle.Squeeze your finger lightly to form a first, large drop of blood.Wipe off the drop with the sterile swab.Without applying too much pressure, squeeze your finger again to form a new large drop of blood.Hold the test tube vertically downwards (90 degree angle).Touch the test tube to the drop of blood until the pointed end is filled with blood.

Step 3: Make sure the test stand containing the diluent is on a flat surface.Continuing to hold the test tube vertically with the tip pointing downwards, press firmly into the stand to pierce the foil over the diluent (press down firmly; it should click three times).Wait for a pink spot to appear.It should occur less than a minute after the test tube is snapped into place.Stick the patch on your finger.The test is running.If the pink spot does not appear within a minute, press harder on the test tube to fully seat it.

Step 4: Check the time and wait 15 minutes before reading the result.Do not wait longer than 20 minutes to read the result.
