The MucoClear 3% inhalation solution is a hypertonic saline solution that is used for respiratory diseases with heavy secretion production.It loosens mucus gently and effectively and is particularly suitable for cystic fibrosis, acute viral bronchiolitis and bronchitis.The product is suitable for infants, children and adults and is made without preservatives.

Area of application

The inhalation solution is used to increase the mobilization of secretions in the respiratory tract when mucus solidifies.This is particularly helpful in cases of cystic fibrosis, acute viral bronchiolitis and bronchitis, as the osmotic effect of the saline solution loosens mucus and makes it easier to cough up.

Mode of action

Inhaling hypertonic saline solution produces osmotic effects on the respiratory mucosa.This causes the mucus to loosen and make it easier to cough up.This therapy is particularly beneficial for patients with acute bronchiolitis or cystic fibrosis.

One ampoule (4 ml solution) contains sodium chloride in the amount of 120 mg and water for injections.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, the product should not be used.Patients with a hypersensitive bronchial system should speak to a doctor before use.In addition, the inhalation solution should only be mixed with other medications after consulting a doctor, as chemical interactions cannot be ruled out.

Dosage

Depending on your needs, the inhalation solution can be used 2 to 4 times a day, one ampoule (4 ml) each time.

Application

The inhalation solution is applied using a jet nebulizer, ultrasonic nebulizer or membrane nebulizer.It is important to follow the instructions for use of the nebulizer you are using.The solution should be at room temperature.

Notes

Opened or damaged ampoules, discolored or cloudy solutions should not be used.Since it does not contain any preservatives, opened ampoules must be disposed of immediately for hygiene reasons.The inhalation solution should be discarded after the expiry date and kept out of the reach of children.
