Instructions for use of the article Mucoclear 3% NaCl inhalation solution: - Product characteristics: MucoClear 3% inhalation solution, content: 4 ml hypertonic sodium chloride inhalation solution (NaCl 3%) - sterile. - Indication: Increasing the mobilisation of secretions in the lower respiratory tract in cases of mucus consolidation (acute bronchiolitis, cystic fibrosis) due to osmotic effect. - Route of administration: With PARI nozzle nebuliser or eFlow rapid. Follow the instructions for use of the device manufacturer. - Dosage: 4 ml 2 to 4 times daily. - Side effects: In individual cases, temporary irritation (e.g. cough) or reversible bronchoconstriction may occur. Pre-treatment with a bronchodilator is recommended. - Warnings: Only mix MucoClear 3% with medicines after consulting your doctor. Do not use it without a doctor's instructions if you are prone to breathlessness or hypersensitivity. For hygienic reasons, dispose of opened ampoules immediately. Dispose of after expiry date. Due to osmotic effects of saline droplets on the airway mucosa, the mucus can be loosened and coughed up more easily. This can provide relief in particular for patients with acute bronchiolitis or cystic fibrosis.
