Safety port cannula system: More safety all around

The safety port cannula system is versatile and compatible with various products.It is suitable for enteral nutrition, including drinking and tube feeding and supplements.It can also be used for infusions such as volume replacement, carrier and electrolyte solutions.It can also be used in intravenous therapy with drugs such as antibiotics, anesthetics and oncology drugs.

This system is specially designed for low-punch puncture of port membranes and offers protection against puncture, cut and scratch injuries.It has a triple telescopic extension safety system that meets the requirements of the TRBA 250.The cannula locks into place irreversibly, which can be heard and felt, and prevents contact with the secured cannula when handled correctly.

The system includes 19 and 20 G cannulas for high-pressure application.A patented spoon grind enables low-punching grooving.The flat handle with integrated bellows ensures high carrying comfort and strain relief.The position of the port cannula is secured by an integrated adhesive, and a self-closing safety valve is also available.It also has a 20 cm extension cable.

Application

To safely remove the Ambix Intrastick® Safe, the following handling steps must be observed: First, secure the outer edge of the bellows firmly between the thumb and index finger of the non-dominant hand.Then grasp the transparent handle of the Ambix Intrastick® Safe with the thumb and index finger of your dominant hand.Then quickly pull the handle vertically upwards while simultaneously injecting until you can hear and feel it click securely into place.Finally, completely remove the adhesive from the skin and dispose of the Ambix Intrastick® Safe in a suitable cannula disposal container.
