The active substance of the medicine is an extract of fresh ash mistletoe herb. It is used for the treatment of malignant tumours accompanied by disorders of the blood-forming organs, recurrence prophylaxis after tumour operations, certain preliminary stages of cancer and benign tumours. The dosage should be individually adjusted and can be started with 0.02 mg three times a week in the initiation phase. The optimal dose is reached gradually. Various reactions may occur, such as a change in subjective feeling, temperature reaction, immunological reaction and local inflammatory reaction. In the maintenance phase, the individual dosage can be as low as 0.02 mg. Otherwise, the dose is gradually increased to 0.2 mg, 2 mg and 20 mg. Violent reactions may occur when moving to higher concentrations, so it is recommended to use only half an ampoule of the higher concentration at first. The drug is injected subcutaneously, preferably near the tumour or metastases. The duration of therapy is determined by the doctor and should be several years, although breaks can be taken. Various side effects may occur, such as a slight increase in body temperature, local inflammatory reactions and allergic reactions. An overdose or overreaction may lead to anaphylactic reactions.
