Cutimed Sorbact Hydroactive compresses combine the special Sorbact principle with flexible exudate management.The product binds germs through hydrophobic interaction without using chemical antimicrobial substances.The Sorbact coating gives the material strong water-repellent properties.Many harmful bacteria and fungi are naturally hydrophobic and therefore adhere to the Sorbact tissue.This reduces the number of germs in the wound every time the dressing is changed, which creates optimal conditions for natural wound healing.

The hydrogel matrix of Cutimed Sorbact Hydroactive keeps the wound environment moist and promotes autolytic debridement in fibrin-coated and necrotic wounds.The product consists of an acetate fabric with a bacteria-binding coating, an absorbent hydropolymer matrix with a semi-permeable polyurethane cover film and a hydrogel-based adhesive edge.

Advantages

Application

Cutimed Sorbact Hydroactive is suitable for all clean, colonized, contaminated or infected wounds and is used for weakly to moderately exuding wounds.These include chronic wounds such as venous, arterial or diabetic ulcers as well as pressure ulcers.Postoperative wounds, wound dehiscences and traumatic wounds can also be treated with it.The product is suitable for wounds after excision of fistulas and abscesses, but not for wound cavities.

Change of dressing

The dressing should be changed depending on the amount of exudate as well as the overall condition of the wound and the wound surroundings, but no later than after 4 days.
