Mezym F is a medicine for the treatment of digestive disorders caused by reduced or absent function of the pancreas. It contains digestive substances (enzymes) from the pancreas of pigs. The medicine is taken in enteric-coated tablet form. The dosage depends on the severity of the digestive disorder and should only be increased under medical supervision. The tablets should be taken unchewed with plenty of liquid. The duration of use is determined by the doctor. Possible side effects are diarrhoea, abdominal discomfort, skin rash and allergic reactions. The medicine must not be taken if there is an allergy to the ingredients or if there is acute inflammation of the pancreas. Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
