Directions for use of ACC akut 200 Hustenlöser Effervescent tablets from 2 years of age. The effervescent tablets contain the active substance acetylcysteine and are used to loosen mucus and make it easier to cough up in respiratory diseases with thick mucus. They must not be taken by children under 2 years of age. They are taken after meals by dissolving the effervescent tablet in a glass of water and drinking it. The recommended dosage depends on age and varies between 1/2 and 1 effervescent tablet per day. In case of overdose, gastrointestinal complaints may occur. Possible side effects include headache, nausea, skin rash and allergic reactions. ACC akut 200 cough expectorant contains lactose, sorbitol, benzyl alcohol and sodium. It should be stored below 30 °C, the expiry date should be observed and it should be disposed of via the pharmacy. Further information can be found in the package leaflet.
