Description

The Elacutan cream is a horny layer softening and moisture-regulating cream.The main active ingredient, urea, softens and exfoliates heavily calloused skin and stimulates the skin to bind more water.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

The cream is used to relieve dry skin conditions, which can also lead to pathological changes.This includes conditions such as neurodermatitis (atopic dermatitis), aging skin or ichthyoses (congenital keratinization disorders, also called fish scale disease).It is also used as a basic treatment during symptom-free intervals for neurodermatitis (atopic eczema).

Active ingredients and ingredients

The cream contains 100 mg of urea per gram. Other ingredients include cetearyl glucoside, cetostearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, citric acid (anhydrous), glycerol 85%, sodium hydroxide, thin paraffin, stearic acid, medium-chain triglycerides and purified water.

Contraindications

The cream must not be used if you are allergic to urea or any of the other ingredients.It is also not suitable for treating acute weeping or inflammatory skin diseases.It should not be used for abraded, acute skin inflammation.If you have kidney failure, it should not be used over large areas.

Dosage and application

The cream is applied 1-3 times daily.The duration of treatment depends on the clinical findings and is decided by the treating doctor.There are no clinical data available for use longer than 3 weeks.If you forget to use it, do not use a double dose.

Application instructions

The cream is intended for use on the skin.It should not come into contact with eyes and mucous membranes.Children and adolescents should only be used after consulting their doctor.The medicine has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.There are no known risks during pregnancy and breastfeeding.The cream should not be used in the breast area during breastfeeding.

Notes

Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
