Instructions for use for GELOBACIN Ear drops, 10 ml
GeloBacin ear drops are intended for the physical treatment and relief of non-specific complaints of the external auditory canal, such as otitis externa (inflammation of the external auditory canal or also bathotitis). Symptoms of otitis externa include itching, redness, pain, swelling of the ear canal, pain when pressure is applied to the cartilaginous prominence on the outer ear (tragus) or pulling of the earlobe. The causes of these complaints can be moisture in the ear after bathing, swimming or diving, allergies to cosmetics such as shampoos, irritation or injury caused by mechanical irritation of the ear (e.g. by cotton buds, earplugs or hearing aids), skin diseases that cause sensitive ear canal skin, or accompanying symptoms of diseases such as diabetes mellitus. GeloBacin ear drops can also be used preventively if a tendency to non-specific complaints in the ear canal is known. For children from 2 years and adults, it is recommended to drop 1-2 drops into the ear canal up to 4 times a day. Before use, the ear drops should be warmed to body temperature and the head left in the side position for about 5 minutes. It is recommended to pull the upper part of the auricle slightly backwards when dropping the drops into the ear canal. The composition of the ear drops includes glycerol, 1,3-butanediol, water, dexpanthenol, potassium monohydrogen phosphate and citric acid. The manufacturing company is G. Pohl-Boskamp GmbH & Co.KG based in Hohenlockstedt, Germany.Medicines Reviews
