Otodolor® direct - relief from ear pain and inflammation

Summertime is swimming time, but swimming, bathing or diving can often lead to ear infections, also known as “swimmer’s ear.”In addition to water containing chlorine, incorrect cleaning methods, wearing headphones, foreign bodies in the ear or the frequent use of detergent substances such as shampoos and shower gels can also lead to inflammation of the ear canal.These inflammations initially manifest themselves as severe itching and swelling, accompanied by more or less severe pain.

Otodolor® direct are preservative-free ear drops that were specifically developed for use in the external ear canal of children and adults.The main component of these ear drops is glycerol, a clear, colorless and thick substance.Otodolor® direct is used to support the treatment of inflammation of the external ear canal (otitis externa).It helps relieve ear pain and discomfort such as irritation or itching, often caused by chlorinated water, diving or wind.The product is also suitable for preventive use before and after swimming or diving.

Mode of action

Glycerol in Otodolor® directly cleanses and nourishes the skin in the ear canal, reduces swelling and thus contributes to pain relief.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Otodolor® direct ear drops contain glycerol as the active ingredient.One gram of the drops contains one gram of glycerol.

Area of application

Otodolor® direct is used to support the treatment of inflammation of the external ear canal (otitis externa).It relieves ear pain and discomfort such as irritation or itching, often caused by chlorinated water, diving or wind.It is also suitable for preventative use before and after swimming or diving.

Contraindications

The product should not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to glycerol.

Dosage and application

Recommended use: 2-3 drops of Otodolor® directly into the affected ear.For prevention, it is advisable to use the product before and after bathing.

The drops should be instilled into the ear with the head tilted to the side.The ear can then be closed with cotton.

The product should not be placed in the ear while wearing a hearing aid.Hearing aid wearers should use the product approximately 1 hour before inserting the hearing aid.

If the symptoms do not subside after a few days or if a fever has set in, you should definitely seek medical advice.

The product is still durable 4 weeks after opening.
