Directions for use of the article Otodolor Direkt ear drops: Otodolor direkt is a preservative-free solution for dropping into the ear (external auditory canal). It contains only glycerol, a clear, colourless, viscous substance. Otodolor direkt is used for the supportive treatment of inflammation of the external auditory canal (otitis externa). It relieves ear pain, irritation and itching often caused by chlorinated water, diving or wind. It can also be used before and after bathing or diving as a preventive measure. It is applied by dripping about 2 to 3 drops (warm from the body) into the ear canal of the affected ear and then closing it with cotton wool. They contain glycerol (anhydrous) and are used for the supportive treatment of inflammations of the external auditory canal. They relieve ear pain, irritation and itching that can be caused by chlorinated water, diving or wind. They can also be used before and after bathing or diving as a preventive measure. The effect of the drops is based on the fact that glycerol cleanses and cares for the skin and reduces swelling, which ultimately leads to pain relief. The dosage recommendation is to apply 2-3 drops directly into the affected ear. For prevention, the drops can be used before and after bathing.
