Ginkgo AL 120 mg film-coated tablets are a herbal medicinal product for improving age-related cognitive impairment and quality of life in mild dementia. It contains ginkgo biloba leaves dry extract as the active ingredient. The film-coated tablets have a triple effect by promoting blood flow in the fine vessels, strengthening nerve cells and improving concentration and memory. The medicine is manufactured by ALIUD Pharma GmbH and, when taken regularly, can make a valuable contribution to improving the quality of life in mild dementia. The recommended dosage for adults is 1 film-coated tablet in the morning and 1 in the evening. The tablets can be taken independently of meals. They are swallowed with sufficient liquid. If swallowing is difficult, they can be divided by the preformed breaking notch. The medicine should not be taken for longer than 3 months without medical advice. In case of overdose, gastrointestinal complaints, headaches and allergic skin reactions may occur.
