cratae-Loges® 450 mg hawthorn film-coated tablets is a herbal medicine for heart disease.It is used when the heart's performance declines according to stage II to NYHA.

Active ingredients of cratae-Loges® 450 mg hawthorn film-coated tablets: 1 film-coated tablet contains the active ingredient dry extract from hawthorn leaves with flowers [4-7:1] 450 mg.The extractant is ethanol 45% (V/V).

The other ingredients are maltodextrin, colloidal silicon dioxide, purified water, microcrystalline cellulose, hydrogenated castor oil, carboxymethyl starch sodium (type A), stearic acid, hypromellose, talc, macrogol 6000, titanium dioxide E 171, iron(III)oxide E 172.

Note for diabetics: The amount of carbohydrates consumed in 1 daily dose (= 2 film-coated tablets) corresponds to 0.34 BE.

Contraindications

If you are hypersensitive to any of the above ingredients, the product should not be used.

Dosage

Recommended use of cratae-Loges® 450 mg hawthorn film-coated tablets: Always take cratae-Loges® 450 mg hawthorn exactly according to the instructions in this leaflet.Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Unless otherwise prescribed, adults and adolescents aged 12 and over take 1 film-coated tablet twice a day.

Method of administration: Do not take film-coated tablets while lying down.Please take the film-coated tablets whole with sufficient liquid (preferably 1 glass of drinking water [200 ml]).

Duration of use: It is recommended to take the medicine for a minimum of 6 weeks and a maximum of 6 months.The treating doctor should then determine the further duration of use.Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of cratae-Loges® 450 mg hawthorn is too strong or too weak.

Intake

To be taken.Please take the film-coated tablet whole with sufficient liquid (preferably a glass of drinking water).Do not take the film-coated tablet while lying down.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the medicine, if the symptoms of the disease persist for more than six weeks or if water accumulates in the legs.If you have pain in the heart area that can radiate to the arms, upper abdomen or neck area, or if you have difficulty breathing, immediate medical attention is essential.

There are no sufficient studies on the use of this medicine in children.It should therefore not be taken by children under 12 years of age.
