Description

The product combines paracetamol, a painkiller and antipyretic, with caffeine.It is used to relieve mild to moderate pain.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The product contains the following active ingredients: 50 mg caffeine and 400 mg paracetamol.The following excipients are also included: carboxymethyl starch, sodium salt type A, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium salt, vegetable magnesium stearate, corn starch, pre-gelatinized corn starch, highly disperse silicon dioxide, stearic acid and 2.2 mg sodium ions.

Contraindications

The product must not be taken if you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.It is not suitable for children under 12 years or people weighing less than 43 kg.

Dosage and intake

The tablets should be swallowed whole with sufficient liquid.Taking it after meals may result in a delayed effect.The lowest pain-controlling dose should be used for the shortest possible period of time.

For children and adolescents aged 12 and over and adults with a body weight of 43 kg or more, the single dose is 1 to 2 tablets, corresponding to 400 to 800 mg paracetamol and 50 to 100 mg caffeine.The maximum daily dose is up to 8 tablets, corresponding to 3200 mg paracetamol and 400 mg caffeine.

In case of liver dysfunction and mild renal impairment, the dose should be reduced or the interval between doses increased.The total daily dose should not exceed 4 tablets without medical advice.

In cases of moderate to severe renal impairment, a dose reduction is recommended.The interval between doses must be at least 6 hours, and in severe renal impairment at least 8 hours.

Elderly patients usually do not require any special dosage adjustment, however, in debilitated or immobilized individuals with impaired liver or kidney function, a reduction in dose or extension of the dosing interval may be necessary.

The product should not be taken for longer than 3 days without medical advice.In the event of an overdose, you should consult a doctor immediately.If you forget to take a dose, do not take a double dose.

Patient information

To prevent the risk of overdose, you should ensure that other medicines taken at the same time do not contain paracetamol or caffeine.Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the product if you have impaired liver or kidney function, are a chronic alcoholic, or if you have certain other health conditions.

Habitual use of painkillers can cause permanent kidney damage.Long-term, high-dose, improper use of painkillers can cause headaches, which should not be treated with increased doses of the drug.If you stop taking the medication abruptly after long-term, high-dose, improper use, headaches as well as fatigue, muscle pain, nervousness and vegetative symptoms may occur.

The product has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines.Nevertheless, caution should always be exercised after taking painkillers.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Due to the caffeine content, the product should not be taken during pregnancy unless deemed necessary after consultation with your doctor and after careful consideration of the benefit-risk ratio.

Paracetamol and caffeine pass into breast milk.Paracetamol has not yet been reported to have any adverse effects on infants.The infant's well-being and behavior can be affected by caffeine ingested through breast milk.With short-term use or taking the recommended dose, interruption of breastfeeding will usually not be necessary.If you use it for a long time or take higher doses, you should stop breastfeeding.

Notes

The product is not suitable for children under 12 years.Without a doctor's prescription, the product should only be taken to relieve acute pain.If painkillers are not used for a long time as intended, headaches may occur, which should not be treated with increased amounts of the drug. If you stop taking it suddenly after prolonged improper use, you may experience headaches as well as fatigue, muscle pain, nervousness and other physical complaints.These symptoms subside within a few days.Until then, you should not take painkillers again and should not take them again without medical advice.
