NICOTINELL Chewing gum is available in two strengths: 2 mg and 4 mg.The appropriate dosage depends on your previous smoking habits.If you have a strong to very strong nicotine addiction (more than 30 cigarettes per day), the high dosage is preferable (4 mg chewing gum).The same applies if a previous attempt to quit smoking with NICOTINELL 2 mg chewing gum failed or if your withdrawal symptoms persist to such an extent that there is a risk of a relapse.For mild to moderate addiction (less than 20 cigarettes per day), the low dosage (2 mg of chewing gum) is preferable.If you have previously smoked 20 to 30 cigarettes per day, the low or high dosage is suitable - depending on your individual characteristics and preferences.
