Instructions for use for Posterine (25 g)
Description
This herbal medicine is used to treat hemorrhoidal disease in its early stages.It relieves symptoms such as itching, oozing and burning as well as inflammation in the anal area, for example in the case of anal eczema or superficial skin injuries.No prescription is required for this product.
Active ingredients and ingredients
The product contains 200 mg witch hazel leaves fluid extract (1:2), with ethanol 60% (V/V) serving as the extractant.The excipients include pentaerythritol, octadecanol, aluminum distearate, butylated hydroxyanisole, citric acid 1-water, glycerol monooleate, glycerol palmitate stearate, isopropyl myristate, microcrystalline hydrocarbons, sodium citrate 2-water, thin paraffin, propylene glycol, white petrolatum, alpha-tocopherol, wool wax and butylated hydroxytoluene.
Application
The medicine is used to relieve discomfort in the anal area.If you have acute symptoms, severe weeping or yellowish skin changes, or no improvement within three days, you should consult a doctor.Blood in the stool or bleeding from the rectum area definitely requires medical evaluation.
Contraindications
The medicine must not be used if there is hypersensitivity to witch hazel, wool wax or any of the other ingredients.
Dosage
Always use the medicine as directed.If you are unsure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.The usual dose is twice daily.If the symptoms are more severe, it can be used more frequently at times.The amount depends on the size of the skin and mucous membrane areas to be treated.
The duration of treatment depends on the type and severity of the disease.The medicine can be used until the symptoms subside, but self-treatment without consulting a doctor should not exceed two weeks.
When used as directed, no overdoses are known.In the event of an accidental overdose, no serious symptoms of poisoning are to be expected, although abdominal pain and nausea may occur.In this case, you should reduce the application to the intended dose and follow the treatment plan.

The medicine is used externally on the skin or rectally.
Special Notes
In the case of fungal infestation, a locally effective fungal agent should also be used.If you have advanced hemorrhoidal disease or other palpable changes in the anal region, you should consult a doctor.The additives paraffin and white petroleum jelly can affect the tear resistance of latex condoms.
There are no sufficient studies available for use in children under 12 years of age.It is recommended not to use the medicine at this age.
No effects on the ability to drive a motor vehicle or use machines are expected.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
There is no experience with the use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding.Preparations containing tannins should only be used on small areas during pregnancy.Hemorrhoidal disease should only be treated after consulting a doctor and not for longer than two weeks.
