Directions for use of Weleda Arnica Ointment 10%: Indications: Arnica ointment 10% is used to harmonise and stimulate the metabolic and forming processes in tissue and organ damage. It is used especially after mechanical impact and in cases of blood supply disorders, as well as for blunt injuries such as strains, bruises, contusions and haematomas. Important information: Arnica ointment 10% contains peanut oil, lanolin and butylated hydroxytoluene. Read the package leaflet for more information on risks and side effects. The leaflet should be read thoroughly before use. If you have any questions, please ask your doctor or pharmacist. Dosage and use: The ointment should be applied to the affected areas of the skin 3-5 times a day. Treatment should be continued until the symptoms subside. If there is no improvement after 2-5 days, a doctor should be consulted. It should be applied according to the doctor's instructions. Contraindications: Arnica ointment 10% should not be used on open wounds. In addition, persons who are hypersensitive to arnica or other composite plants, peanut oil, soya oil or other components of the ointment base should avoid its use. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor or pharmacist before use. Side effects: Allergic reactions such as itching, reddening of the skin and blistering may occur when preparations containing arnica are applied to the skin. Long-term use may favour the formation of allergies to arnica. Rarely, peanut oil can cause severe allergic reactions. If side effects occur, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. Composition: The ointment contains per 10g Arnica, Planta tota mother tincture in an ointment base of refined peanut oil, wool wax, yellow wax, wool wax alcohols (with butylated hydroxytoluene) and purified water. Important information: Note that the medicine must not be used beyond the expiry date. The ointment can be kept for 6 months after opening the pack.
