Urea acis® 12% cream

Healthy skin has a callus barrier and an acid mantle with a pH of 5.5, which can protect against fungal infections.In order to maintain this natural protection, appropriate care is necessary, especially for dry skin caused by neurodermatitis or aging skin.

Area of application

The cream can be used all over the body.Depending on the symptoms, the cream can be applied once or several times a day.The application is simple and uncomplicated.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The cream contains urea as an active ingredient in a concentration of 120 mg per gram of cream.Other ingredients include purified water, white petroleum jelly, oleyl oleate, (pentaerythritol, octadecanol) [alkan (C12-C18) oat citrat], microcrystalline hydrocarbons, glycerol monooleate, aluminum distearate/aluminum tristearate mixture (1:1), propylene glycol, butylated hydroxyanisole and citric acid monohydrate.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, the product should not be used.The cream must not be used if you have a hypersensitive (allergic) reaction to urea, abraded skin or acute skin inflammation.In the event of hypersensitivity reactions, use should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.

Dosage and application

The cream is applied to the affected skin areas one to several times a day.It is intended for use on the skin.

Patient information

You should speak to a doctor or pharmacist before use.Particular caution is required if the cream comes into contact with the eyes or mucous membranes.In such cases, the cream should be wiped off immediately and a doctor consulted if necessary.Simultaneous use in the genital or anal area and the use of latex products can lead to a reduction in the functionality and thus an impairment of the safety of these products.

There is no reliable experience with use in children.Reports from the specialist literature indicate that the use of highly concentrated products containing urea in children can lead to a mostly short-term burning sensation on the skin.

There is no experience with regard to impairment of the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

There is no experience with the use of the drug during pregnancy.Although it is unlikely that the cream will enter the bloodstream after being applied to the skin, the product should only be used during pregnancy if absolutely necessary and recommended by a doctor.

It is not known whether the medicine passes into breast milk.Therefore, the cream should only be used during breastfeeding if absolutely necessary.In this case, the chest area should not be applied with cream in order to avoid unwanted contact with the infant's skin or oral absorption of the product by the infant.
