Nemacynar Nestmann is a herbal medicinal product made from artichoke leaves.It is used to relieve digestive complaints.The remedy stimulates bile flow, thereby improving fat digestion.This helps to alleviate feelings of fullness, abdominal pain, and bloating.No prescription is required for this product.

Usage

Adolescents aged 12 and over and adults should take 40 drops three times daily.The drops should be taken before meals.

Ingredients

1 Gram of the drops contains 333 milligrams of thick artichoke leaf extract.Other ingredients include 29.7% (v/v) ethanol and purified water.

Indications

Nemacynar Nestmann is used for digestive disorders, particularly functional disorders of the bile duct system.A doctor should be consulted if symptoms persist for more than a week or recur regularly.

Contraindications

Nemacynar Nestmann must not be used in cases of known hypersensitivity to artichokes, other members of the Asteraceae (daisy) family, or any of the other ingredients of the medicinal product, nor in cases of bile duct obstruction.In cases of gallstone disease, the medicinal product should only be used after consulting a doctor.

Precautions and warnings

Due to insufficient studies, the medicinal product should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.There is insufficient data regarding use in children under 12 years of age; therefore, it should not be used in this age group.The medicinal product contains 29.7% (v/v) alcohol.

Interactions

Concomitant use of Nemacynar Nestmann may reduce the effectiveness of coumarin-type anticoagulants.In such cases, the dosage of these medicines should be adjusted.Patients taking Nemacynar Nestmann concurrently with medicines containing these active substances should consult their doctor.

Side effects

Very rarely, mild diarrhea accompanied by symptoms such as abdominal cramps, upper abdominal discomfort, nausea, and heartburn may occur.Hypersensitivity reactions, such as skin rashes, may also occur very rarely.A doctor should be consulted if side effects occur.

Shelf-life information

Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the packaging.Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.Once opened, the medicine is stable for two months.Due to the herbal extract content, cloudiness or precipitation may occur; however, this does not affect the product's effectiveness.
