Directions for use of the article Nemacynar Nestmann Drops. Nemacynar Nestmann is a herbal medicinal product used for the treatment of digestive disorders, in particular functional disorders of the draining bile system. It contains the active substance artichoke leaf thick extract. Note that the medicinal product contains 29.7% alcohol by volume. The duration of use of this medicinal product is not limited, but should be reviewed by a doctor after one week. Children under 12 years of age should not take this medicine. Pregnant and breastfeeding women are not advised to use it. Nemacynar may interfere with the action of coumarin-type anticoagulants. If you are taking medicines containing this agent at the same time, you should consult your doctor. Possible side effects include mild diarrhoea, abdominal discomfort, nausea, heartburn and rare skin rashes. If you notice any side effects not listed in the leaflet, contact your doctor or pharmacist. The dosage for adolescents from 12 years and adults is 40 drops three times a day before meals. The total dose must not be exceeded. The medicine should be taken in water or tea. Nemacynar must not be used if you are allergic to artichokes or other composite plants or if you suffer from obstruction of the bile ducts. In case of gallstone disease, a doctor should be consulted before use. Care should be taken to avoid the alcohol content of the medicine by alcoholics. Interactions with other medicines are possible, so it is important to inform your doctor or pharmacist of any other medicines you are taking. The medicinal product should be stored away from heat. After opening, the medicine may be used for a maximum of 2 months and stored at room temperature. The commercial forms are original packs containing 50 ml and 100 ml of liquid.
