Instructions for use for Iron tablets-ratiopharm® 100 mg film-coated tablets, 100 tablets
Iron tablets ratiopharm® 100 mg film-coated tablets - For the treatment of iron deficiency
Do you often feel tired and exhausted, do you find it difficult to concentrate or is your immune system weakened? These symptoms may indicate an iron deficiency, especially if they are accompanied by stress, fatigue or lack of sleep.Iron plays a crucial role in many body processes, such as blood formation and oxygen transport. It increases our drive and performance as well as concentration and resilience.A sufficient supply of this trace element is therefore essential.
An iron deficiency can be caused by various factors. For example, women lose a lot of iron during menstruation and are therefore more susceptible to deficiency.Exercise, unbalanced nutrition, diets and avoiding meat can also increase iron requirements. After major blood loss, such as during blood donation or surgery, the body may need additional iron.Iron tablet ratiopharm® 100 mg film-coated tablets help to compensate for this deficiency.
It's easy to take: Adults take 1 to 2 film-coated tablets once a day for at least eight weeks. It is ideal to take it 30 minutes before a meal with a glass of orange juice, as vitamin C improves the absorption of iron.It can take a few weeks to months until iron depots are replenished. You should also include iron-rich foods such as sesame, soy, legumes, grains, nuts, fish and meat in your diet. The film-coated tablets are suitable for adults aged 18 and over.
Area of application
Iron tablets ratiopharm® 100 mg film-coated tablets are used to treat iron deficiency conditions.A lack of iron can impair performance and lead to anemia and fatigue.
Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients
Iron tablets ratiopharm® 100 mg film-coated tablets contain the active ingredient dried iron (II) sulfate. Each film-coated tablet contains 302.237-309.106 mg of dried ferrous sulfate, which corresponds to 100 mg of elemental iron. The other ingredients are maltodextrin, calcium stearate, lactose monohydrate, copovidone, macrogol 4000, talc, calcium carbonate, cocoa butter, magnesium stearate, shellac, titanium dioxide, cellulose powder, corn starch, carboxymethyl starch sodium, sodium dodecyl sulfate, sucrose, povidone K25 and iron oxides and hydroxides.
Contraindications

Dosage
Always take the medicine exactly as described or after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.Adults take 1 film-coated tablet 1 to 2 times daily, corresponding to 100 - 200 mg iron (II) ions.It is not intended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age. There is no sufficient data to provide specific dosage recommendations for kidney or liver diseases.
The duration of treatment depends on the type and severity of the disease.Iron therapy is generally required for a period of at least 8 weeks. After the blood values have normalized, treatment should be continued for another 6 - 8 weeks to replenish the iron reserves. If you suspect or suspect an overdose, especially in children, you should contact a doctor immediately.Do not take a double dose if you forget to take a dose, but continue taking it as planned.Do not stop taking it without consulting your doctor.
