Directions for use of the article Eisentabletten-ratiopharm 100 mg - Iron Tablets-ratiopharm® 100 mg is a medicine used to treat iron deficiency. - This medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to iron or any of the other ingredients, or if you have anaemia that is not associated with iron deficiency. - You should consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine, especially if you have inflammation or ulcers in the gastrointestinal tract or are taking other iron salt supplements. - The tablets should be swallowed with water and not sucked, chewed or left in the mouth. - When taking Iron Tablets-ratiopharm® 100 mg, interactions with other medicines should be avoided, especially with certain antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs. - The tablets should be taken before or between meals, as food can impair iron absorption. - During pregnancy and breast-feeding, you should consult your doctor before taking Iron Tablets-ratiopharm® 100 mg. - Possible side effects may include dark-coloured stools, gastrointestinal disorders, hypersensitivity reactions and mouth ulcers. - The medicinal product should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be stored above 25 °C. - The package leaflet contains further information on use, dosage and possible interactions with other medicines. - If side effects occur, you should consult your doctor or pharmacist.
