Instructions for use for Simagel chewable tablets, 50 pcs
Simagel®
Simagel® chewable tablets are used to bind excess stomach acid and are used for heartburn, acid-related stomach problems and stomach or duodenal ulcers. The active ingredient almasilate neutralizes stomach acid and forms poorly soluble salts that are excreted in the stool. This prevents over-acidification of the stomach. No prescription is required for this product.
Active ingredients and ingredients
Each chewable tablet contains 430 mg of almasilate as the active ingredient. The excipients include potato starch, levomenthol, magnesium stearate (vegetable), mint oil, saccharin sodium, sucrose and sodium ions. The total amount of sodium ions per tablet is 23 mg.
Area of application
Simagel® chewable tablets are used to treat heartburn, acid-related stomach problems, and stomach and duodenal ulcers. They help to bind excess stomach acid and thus alleviate the symptoms.
Dosage and intake
Adults can take 1-2 chewable tablets several times a day if necessary. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 14 chewable tablets. The tablets should be chewed thoroughly and taken between meals and before bedtime.Other medications should be taken 1-2 hours before or after taking Simagel®.
Contraindications and precautions
Simagel® should not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients or in children under 12 years of age.If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have impaired kidney function, you should consult a doctor before taking it.For long-term use or for certain pre-existing conditions, regular medical checks are required.
Patient information
If stomach problems persist or recur, you should be examined by a doctor, as these symptoms can indicate serious illnesses. If you have stomach or duodenal ulcers, you should be tested for Helicobacter pylori.Patients with impaired kidney function should have their aluminum and magnesium levels checked regularly.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
During pregnancy, Simagel® should only be used short-term and in low doses to avoid aluminum exposure to the child.Aluminum compounds pass into breast milk, but the risk to the newborn is considered to be low.
