Instructions for use for EBENOL 0.25% cream, 50 g

Ebenol 0.25% cream contains the active substance hydrocortisone and is used to relieve inflammatory symptoms of the skin. It must not be used in the case of specific skin diseases, viral infections, vaccination reactions, fungal infections, bacterial skin infections, steroid acne, skin inflammations near the mouth, inflammatory redness of the face and in the case of hypersensitivity to hydrocortisone or other ingredients of the cream. Particular care should be taken when using on the face, in body folds, around skin ulcers and in the genital and anal areas. The cream should not be applied to open wounds and should not be used on more than 1/10 of the body surface. In children, use should only be prescribed by a doctor and should be limited to a maximum of three weeks. During pregnancy and lactation, use is only advisable after strict indication and under medical supervision. The cream is applied to the affected skin area and should not be used for longer than 4 weeks. Side effects may include allergic skin reactions, changes in skin pigmentation, thinning of the skin, dilatation of capillaries, stretch marks, steroid acne, skin inflammation near the mouth and increased body hair. The cream should be used with caution in children, the elderly and during pregnancy and lactation. The medicinal product should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be stored above 25 °C. The shelf life after opening is 3 months. The cream contains various other ingredients besides hydrocortisone. Ebenol 0.25% cream is available in packs of 25 g and 50 g.
