Product features

Chloroethyl Dr.Henning is a local anesthetic used for local cold anesthesia.The active ingredient is chloroethane, with 100 ml of the solution containing 100 ml of chloroethane without propellant.

Areas of application

This product is suitable for treating sports injuries such as strains, bruises and sprains.It can also be used for minor surgical procedures, piercings, foot care (pedicures), muscle spasms, cold therapy for swelling, muscle pain, tendonitis (tennis elbow), and joint ligament discomfort.

Contraindications

Chloroethyl Dr.Henning must not be used if you are allergic to chloroethane.It should not be sprayed onto injured skin or mucous membranes.

Precautions and warnings

The product is not suitable for general anesthesia and must not be used near open flames.Caution is advised in the head and neck area to avoid inhalation of chloroethane.It should only be used outdoors or in well-ventilated areas and should only be used externally.

Use in traffic and at work

When used as intended, no effects on drivers or the operation of machines are expected.However, if chloroethane is inhaled, the ability to react can be impaired.In this case you should not drive a car or operate other vehicles, do not use electrical tools or machines and do not carry out any work without a secure hold.Alcohol can further impair your ability to drive.

Dosage instructions and application

The areas of the body requiring treatment should be sprayed from a distance of around 30 cm for a few seconds.The cold spray should only be used until a thin film of snow forms.

Application errors and overdose

Overdose can cause frostbite of the skin.Signs of intoxication caused by inhalation of chloroethane include pre-anesthesia hangover syndrome, intoxication, loss of consciousness and central respiratory and circulatory paralysis.Countermeasures include promoting pulmonary toxin excretion through forced expiration and prophylactic administration of xylocaine.Sympathomimetics should not be given as this can cause ventricular fibrillation.Alcohol, milk or castor oil should also be avoided.

Side effects

Possible side effects include allergic skin changes.If used correctly, there are no other known side effects.If used for too long, symptoms of frostbite may occur on the skin.If side effects occur that are not listed in the package leaflet, you should report them to your doctor or pharmacist.

Durability and storage

The expiry date is printed on the outer wrapper and container.The product should not be used after this date.It should be protected from light and kept out of the reach of children.The spray bottle should be carefully closed after use.The container may only be disposed of when it is completely empty.
