Instructions for use of the article Chlorhexamed Fluid 0,1 %. Chlorhexamed Fluid 0.1 % is a solution for use in the oral cavity. It contains the active ingredient chlorhexidine bis(D-gluconate) and is used to temporarily reduce the number of bacteria in the oral cavity. It is also used as a supportive therapy for mechanical cleaning in cases of inflammation of the gums and oral mucosa caused by bacteria, and in cases of impaired oral hygiene. Chlorhexamed Fluid 0.1 % is applied by rinsing or gargling with the solution. The solution should be left to act for 1 minute and then spat out. It should be used twice a day, preferably in the morning and evening after meals and brushing the teeth. Chlorhexamed Fluid 0.1% must not be used in children under 6 years of age. Children under 12 years of age should only use it after consulting a doctor or pharmacist. The recommended dose for adults and children aged 12 and over is 15 ml of solution twice a day. There are some contraindications for which Chlorhexamed Fluid 0.1% should not be used, such as hypersensitivity to the ingredients, poor blood circulation to the gums and oral mucosa, and ulcers of the oral mucosa. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use. Possible side effects of Chlorhexamed Fluid 0.1% may include taste disturbances, numbness or burning sensation on the tongue, discolouration of the tongue or tooth surface, dry mouth and mouth sensations.
