Pancreatin micro-ratiopharm hard capsules are a medicine used to treat digestive disorders caused by reduced or absent function of the pancreas. Such digestive disorders may manifest as abdominal pain, flatulence, fatty stools, diarrhoea, frequent bowel movements or weight loss. The capsules contain digestive enzymes from the pancreas of pigs. The dosage is 1-2 capsules with the main meals, as needed. The capsules should be taken unchewed with plenty of liquid. Do not take this medicine if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use. Possible side effects include abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhoea, bloating, flatulence and skin rash. If any symptoms occur, a doctor or pharmacist should be contacted.
