Directions for use of the article Herpotherm for cold sores: Herpotherm for cold sores is a medical product for the topical treatment of accompanying symptoms of cold sores. It can prevent the formation of herpes blisters if applied in time and can achieve a milder course or earlier healing if applied later. Herpotherm works exclusively through concentrated heat and is therefore completely chemical-free. Herpotherm is characterised by the following product features: - Quick help at the touch of a button - Chemical-free - works exclusively through concentrated heat - Dermatologically tested medical product - Also suitable for allergy sufferers, children (from 3 years of age with the support of an adult, self-application from 12 years of age) and pregnant women - Long-lasting alternative to creams and patches - Battery included (replaceable) - Easy and practical to use - Made in Germany Using Herpotherm is very easy. You remove the protective cap from the device, place it with the ceramic contact surface on the affected skin area and press it lightly. By pressing the push button, the ceramic contact surface heats up to a temperature of approx. 51 ºC. After an application time of 3 seconds, the device switches off automatically. There should be a treatment break of at least 2 minutes between applications. A maximum number of 5 applications per hour (same skin area) must not be exceeded. There are some contraindications to consider. Herpotherm must not be used on eyes and eyelids, mucous membranes, open wounds, injured skin, scalds or burns of the skin, frostbite of the skin, known increased sensitivity to pain, tumours and malignant changes of the skin, known limited sensitivity to pain and temperature, immediately after the application of ointments, creams, lotions, etc. on the affected area as well as on moist skin.
