Directions for use for Infectosoor mouth gel: - The mouth gel contains the active ingredient miconazole and is used to treat yeast infections of the oral mucosa (oral thrush). - It should only be used if there is no allergic reaction to miconazole or other components of the gel. - The gel should not be used in infants under 4 months of age and children with an incomplete swallowing reflex, as well as those with liver disease or taking certain medicines at the same time. - In infants and young children, the gel should be used carefully to avoid swallowing. - In certain conditions, it should only be used under medical supervision, e.g. when the infection occurs for the first time or in children aged 4-6 months. - Simultaneous use with certain medicines may influence the effect and side effects. - The gel should be used after meals and spread throughout the day. - The signs of oral thrush should subside within 5 days of starting treatment. - Vomiting and diarrhoea may occur in case of overdose. - Treatment should be continued even after the symptoms have disappeared. - Possible side effects are dry mouth, nausea, taste disorders and hypersensitivity reactions. - The gel should be kept out of the reach of children. - The shelf life after opening is 8 weeks. - Further information on the contents of the pack and pharmaceutical companies can be found in the package leaflet. - If side effects occur, a doctor or pharmacist should be contacted.
