Instructions for use for INFECTOSOOR Mouth gel, 20 g
Directions for use of the article Infectosoor Mouth Gel: Infectosoor Mouth Gel contains the active substance miconazole and is used to treat yeast infections of the oral mucosa (oral thrush). It is a fungicidal agent against fungal infections. The use of Infectosoor oral gel is not advisable in certain groups of people and in certain situations. It should not be used if you are allergic to miconazole or similar antifungal medicines, in infants under 4 months of age and children who have not fully developed the swallowing reflex, as well as in liver disease and certain medicines taken at the same time. There are some warnings and precautions that should be taken into account. In infants and young children, care should be taken to ensure that the gel does not close the throat. A medical check-up is required for the first occurrence of the condition, recurrent fungal infections, lack of improvement after 5 days and in infants aged 4 to 6 months. It is important to inform the doctor or pharmacist if other medicines are taken or used. The effect of certain medicines may be affected by the simultaneous use of Infectosoor Oral Gel. Pregnant women are advised not to use the gel during the first 3 months of pregnancy and in the following months only on the express instructions of the doctor. During breastfeeding, it should also only be used on medical advice. The recommended dose for infants and children aged 4 to 24 months is 1 ml of gel 4 times a day. For adults and children aged 2 years and over, the recommended dose is 2 ml of gel 4 times a day. The gel should be used after meals. The gel should be used for at least one week after the symptoms have disappeared. Signs of overdose may include vomiting and diarrhoea. Various side effects may occur, such as dry mouth, nausea, unpleasant feeling in the mouth and taste disturbances. In case of severe side effects such as swelling of the face, tongue or throat, difficulty swallowing and difficulty breathing, a doctor should be contacted immediately. Infectosoor Oral Gel should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be used after the expiry date which is stated on the packaging. The package leaflet contains more information about the composition of the gel and the manufacturer. It is important to read the leaflet and consult a doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions.
