Is Kamillan® suitable for children?Kamillan® should generally not be used in children under 12 years of age.The external use of Kamillan®, for example as a gargle solution, mouthwash or bath additive, is safe for children and young people aged 12 and over.Internal applications, such as taking it to support gastrointestinal function, are only recommended for children and adolescents aged 18 and over.

Can you use Kamillan® as a bath additive?Kamillan® is very suitable as a medicinal bath additive for sitz and partial baths for numerous complaints: for heavily stressed hands after intensive housework and gardening as well as for minor injuries and damaged skin on the feet, after sports or long hikes.Sitz baths with Kamillan® can be used, among other things, for wounds in the genital area (fissures, hemorrhoids), for wound healing after births with an episiotomy or for sensitive skin and vaginal dryness.Kamillan® is not suitable as a nourishing bath additive for a full bath.

Is it possible to use Kamillan® long-term?Due to its recognized good tolerability, the duration of use of Kamillan® is not limited in time and long-term use is possible.If your symptoms do not improve despite treatment or even worsen, please consult a doctor.

How long does Kamillan® last?The expiry date of Kamillan® is printed on the folding box and the bottle label.Please do not use the medicine after the expiry date.After opening the bottle, Kamillan® has a shelf life of six months.Always keep the medicine out of the reach of children.Please note that preparations derived from plants tend to become cloudy and flocculate when stored for long periods of time.This does not limit the effectiveness of the drug.

With chamomile and yarrow Kamillan® combines the active ingredients real chamomile and yarrow in a herbal medicine that has been proven for prevention and treatment for 45 years.Chamomile actively promotes wound healing and is valued for its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.Yarrow also has a pain-relieving and hemostatic effect and can strengthen the mucous membrane.When prepared medicinally, the medicinal plants help to close small cracks and injuries in the skin, promote healing processes and stop bleeding.Irritated skin and mucous membranes are also less sensitive to pain.

Kamillan contains: mixture of chamomile flowers, yarrow herb, extract: ethanol 96%, drinking water, ammonia solution 10%, macrogol glycerol hydroxystearate.

Contraindications

This product should not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the above ingredients, or if you have liver disease, alcoholics, epileptics, brain damage or children under 12 years of age.If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a doctor before using this product.

Dosage

Recommended use of Kamillan: Kamillan® can be used as a first aid for numerous complaints and can be used internally and externally.Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, adults can use Kamillan® as follows: Neck and throat: Add 5 ml of Kamillan® to 1 glass of lukewarm water and gargle with the diluted solution in the morning and evening.If possible, avoid rinsing the oral cavity afterwards.Oral mucosa: Prepare a mouthwash similar to the gargle solution and rinse the mouth several times a day.Alternatively, a few drops of Kamillan® diluted with water can be applied several times a day using a cotton swab or dental brush.Stressed, sensitive skin: For a hand, foot or sitz bath, add 7.5 - 15 ml of Kamillan® to 1 liter of warm water. Carry out the partial bath for damaged skin on the hands and feet or for wounds and injuries in the genital area for approx. 10 to 20 minutes.Gastrointestinal complaints: Add 2.5 to 5 ml of Kamillan® to a small glass of tea or water 1 to 3 times a day and drink completely.

Patient information

Particular caution is required when taking/using the preparation.If signs of illness occur, such as complaints of the gastrointestinal tract that last for a long time or recur periodically, as well as inflammation or open injuries to the skin or mucous membranes, a doctor should be consulted.If you do not feel better after 5 days or if you feel worse, contact your doctor.If there is a change in the appearance of the skin or mucous membranes (redness, swelling or pain) or in the general condition, a doctor should also be consulted.You should avoid additional alcohol consumption while using the product internally.For children under 12 years of age, the preparation should not be used externally or on the mucous membrane as there are no sufficient studies available.The preparation should not be taken by children and adolescents under 18 years of age as there is no sufficient data for internal use.There are no studies on the ability to drive or use machines.
