Information for use of the article Nystaderm-S Suspension w. dosing pump: - Nystaderm-S is a suspension for use in the oral cavity and for oral administration. - The active substance is nystatin, which is used to treat fungal infections of the skin and mucous membranes. - Suitable for nystatin-sensitive infections of the oral cavity, pharynx and oesophagus. - Also for topical intestinal treatment of proven nystatin-sensitive yeast infections and for colonisation prophylaxis of the gastrointestinal tract, especially in children and infants. - Warnings: Contains sucrose and a flavouring with propylene glycol, cinnamaldehyde, geraniol, citronellol and linalool. - Read the package leaflet before use and consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions. - Dosage: Depending on age and severity of illness, 0.5-1.5 ml 4 times daily for children and adults, 0.5-1 ml 4 times daily for newborns and infants. - Directions: Put into the oral cavity and leave there for a few minutes, then swallow. - Duration of treatment: 2-3 days beyond the disappearance of visible symptoms. - Possible side effects: Gastrointestinal complaints, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, skin rashes, allergic reactions. - Storage: Store at room temperature (not above 25°C) and out of reach of children.
