Tea tree oil

Tea tree oil is a high-quality essential oil extracted from the leaves of the Australian plant Melaleuca alternifolia.This oil is known for its antimicrobial, skin conditioning, cleansing and deodorizing properties.It is extracted by steam distillation and complies with the strict T.T.O. quality, which guarantees laboratory testing for purity, a cineole content of less than 4% and a terpinen-4-ol content of at least 35.

Areas of application

Tea tree oil offers a wide range of possible uses.It is important to note that the oil should not be used undiluted and only used externally.For skin care for impure skin, 2 to 3 drops can be added to 50 ml of water and applied to the affected areas with a cotton ball.A suitable bath additive is a mixture of 5 to 10 drops of tea tree oil and 1 to 2 drops of olive oil, which can be added to the bath water 1 to 2 times a week.To support sports massages, 3 to 5 drops of tea tree oil can be mixed into 100 ml of massage oil and applied to the skin.For oral hygiene and fresh breath, 1 to 2 drops can be added to 100 ml of lukewarm water, stirred and used for rinsing.Tea tree oil can also serve as a natural insect repellent by placing a few drops in a bowl of warm water or in an aroma lamp.This mixture can also be applied to exposed skin areas to keep insects away.
