Pancreatan 36,000 is a medicine in the form of enteric-coated hard capsules containing pancreatic powder from pigs (pancreatin). It is used to treat digestive disorders caused by reduced or absent function of the pancreas. This enzyme mixture supports digestion by breaking down food in the stomach and intestines. Pancreatan 36,000 improves the symptoms of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, such as greasy stools, abdominal pain, flatulence and changes in stool frequency. The dosage is based on individual factors such as the severity of the disease, weight, diet and fat content in the stools. It is important to take the medicine during or immediately after a meal or snack in order to mix the enzymes thoroughly with the food.
