Oralpädon 240 Strawberry sachet is used for the oral treatment of fluid deficiency due to dehydration by compensating salt and water losses. It contains salts (electrolytes) and glucose. The medicine is used for oral salt (electrolyte) and fluid intake in diarrhoea. In the event of prolonged diarrhoea, impaired general condition or in infants and young children with insatiable vomiting, a doctor should be consulted immediately. The dosage depends on the severity of the diarrhoea. The solution is taken after dissolving in water. Children under 2 years of age should only use Oralpädon after consulting a doctor or under medical supervision. Hypersensitivity to the ingredients, intestinal obstruction, unstoppable vomiting and other contraindications speak against its use. Possible side effects include vomiting. The package leaflet should be read before use. Oralpädon should be stored away from heat and used for a maximum of 24 hours in the refrigerator or for 1 hour at room temperature after opening/preparation.
