Ibu-Hemopharm 400 mg film-coated tablets contain the active ingredient ibuprofen and are used to relieve mild to moderately severe pain such as headache, toothache and period pain, as well as fever. The maximum recommended daily dose varies according to body weight and age. The medicine must not be taken if the patient is allergic to ibuprofen or any other ingredient, has a history of asthma attacks or skin reactions after taking acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, has unexplained blood formation disorders, stomach ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding, brain haemorrhage or other active bleeding, severe liver or kidney dysfunction, severe heart failure or is in the last trimester of pregnancy. The film-coated tablets should be taken unchewed with plenty of liquid. Pregnant women and nursing mothers should consult their doctor or pharmacist before taking the tablets. Side effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, skin reactions and impairment of the cardiovascular system may occur. Taking it together with alcohol may increase the effect and cause central nervous side effects such as tiredness and dizziness. It is recommended to use the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible period of time. The ability to drive and operate machinery may be impaired by the use of the medicinal product. Patients with impaired kidney function, liver dysfunction or certain pre-existing conditions should be particularly careful.
