Ibuprofen-Hemopharm 400 mg film-coated tablets

Ibuprofen-Hemopharm is a painkiller, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory medicine that belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).It contains the active ingredient ibuprofen and is used for the short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and fever.Areas of application include headaches, toothaches and period pains.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Each film-coated tablet contains 400 mg of the active ingredient ibuprofen.Other ingredients include carboxymethyl starch sodium (type A), hypromellose, macrogol 400, macrogol 6000, magnesium stearate (vegetable), corn starch and sodium ions.

Area of application

Ibuprofen-Hemopharm is used to relieve mild to moderate pain such as headaches, toothaches and period pains and to reduce fever.It is important to use the medicine only for a short time and exactly as directed.

Dosage

The recommended dose depends on body weight and age.For children between 6 and 9 years (20 to 29 kg), the single dose is half a film-coated tablet (200 mg ibuprofen), with a maximum daily dose of one and a half film-coated tablets (600 mg ibuprofen).Children between 10 and 11 years of age (30 to 39 kg) can take one whole film-coated tablet (200 mg ibuprofen) as a single dose, with a maximum daily dose of two film-coated tablets (800 mg ibuprofen).Adolescents aged 12 and over and adults (from 40 kg) can take half to a whole film-coated tablet (200 to 400 mg ibuprofen) as a single dose, with a maximum daily dose of three film-coated tablets (1200 mg ibuprofen).

The film-coated tablets should be swallowed whole with plenty of liquid.If you have a sensitive stomach, it is advisable to take it with meals.The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest duration necessary.If symptoms persist or worsen, a doctor should be consulted.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to ibuprofen or other ingredients, if you have had previous severe allergic reactions to acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs, if you have unexplained blood formation disorders, if you have existing or repeated gastrointestinal ulcers or bleeding, if you have cerebral hemorrhage or other active bleeding, if you have severe liver or kidney dysfunction, if you have severe heart muscle weakness, if you have severe dehydration and in the last three months of pregnancy.Children weighing less than 20 kg (6 years) are also not allowed to take the product.

Patient information

Particular caution is required in elderly patients, in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, in cardiovascular diseases and when taking other medicines at the same time.The medicine can inhibit blood platelet function and requires regular checks of liver values, kidney function and blood counts if used for a long time.If you experience any signs of hypersensitivity reactions, you should stop taking the medication and seek medical help.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

During pregnancy, the medicine should only be taken after consulting a doctor.Its use is contraindicated in the last three months of pregnancy.Breastfeeding mothers can take the medicine for a short time at the recommended dose, as only small amounts of the active ingredient pass into breast milk.
