Instructions for use of the article Opsite Flexifix PU Film 5 cmx10 m Unsterile OPSITE Flexifix is a transparent film on a roll for the fixation of primary wound dressings. The film is waterproof and allows the patient to shower with the dressing. It provides a barrier against bacteria and thus minimises the risk of infection. The dimensions of the film are 5 cm x 10 m. OPSITE Flexifix offers numerous advantages. The high water vapour permeability allows the skin to breathe and prevents skin maceration. The film is also very conformable and stretchable to increase patient comfort. In addition, the smooth surface reduces the transmission of shear forces to the skin. The film is also transparent, waterproof and bacteria-proof and contains a skin-friendly adhesive. It is formulated to be latex-free. The application area of OPSITE Flexifix includes the fixation of primary wound dressings as well as the reduction of shear forces on intact skin.
