Instructions for use of the article Opsite Flexifix PU Film 10 cmx10 m Non-sterile: Opsite Flexifix is a transparent film on a roll for the fixation of primary wound dressings. The film is waterproof and allows the patient to shower with the dressing. It provides a barrier against bacteria and thus minimises the risk of infection. The high water vapour permeability allows the skin to breathe and prevents skin maceration. Opsite Flexifix is stretchy and conforms like a second skin. The film reduces the transmission of shear forces to the skin and is also suitable for the prevention of pressure ulcers. It is transparent, water- and bacteria-proof, has a skin-friendly adhesive and is formulated latex-free. The dressing is used to fix primary wound dressings and to reduce shear forces on intact skin.
