Application and properties of Rhinomer Soft and Medium

Infants, children and adults often suffer from respiratory problems due to accumulation of mucus, crusting or dryness of the nasal mucosa.This can also happen with small children who have not yet learned to blow their nose themselves.For this reason, nasal rinsing with sea water can clear and clean the nasal cavity of excess mucus and moisten the nasal mucosa.

What is Rhinomer and what is it used for?

Rhinomer contains sterile, preservative-free isotonic sea water corresponding to a salt content of 0.9%.The solution contains all of the minerals and trace elements originally found in seawater; only the salt content of the seawater has been reduced (= isotonized) and thus adapted to the salt content of the nasal mucosa cells.Rhinomer is available in two different versions with different spray power: Rhinomer Soft and Rhinomer Medium.

Rhinomer Soft produces a fine spray mist and is used to gently cleanse and moisten the nasal mucosa for dry and irritated mucous membranes and to rinse the nasal cavity for colds and allergies.

Rhinomer medium with a medium-strength spray jet is used to clean and moisten the nasal mucosa when the mucous membrane is dry or irritated, to loosen crusts, before and after nasal operations and to flush away excessive mucus during colds and allergies.Rhinomer also accelerates healing after nose operations and shortens the duration of a cold (rhinitis).The need for further use of additional medication can also be reduced.

What do you need to consider before using Rhinomer?

If used as intended, no further precautionary measures are necessary.Due to the cleansing effect of Rhinomer Soft/Medium, it is recommended to be used before other local nasal sprays (e.g. for colds or allergic rhinitis).Rhinomer can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

No prescription is required for this product.

How do you use Rhinomer?

Attach the spray head by pressing lightly.

Rhinomer Soft is suitable for every age group from 2 weeks after birth.The usual frequency of use is 1-2 sprays in each nostril 2-4 times daily.

Rhinomer Medium is suitable for children aged 2 and over, teenagers and adults.The usual frequency of use is 1 - 2 sprays in each nostril 4 times daily.

Babies and small children who cannot use Rhinomer alone: Lay the baby or child on their back and turn their head to one side so that the liquid can drain easily.

For older children and adults who can use Rhinomer alone: Hold your head over the sink and bring your head into a horizontal position by tilting it forward and turning it to the side.

Insert the spray opening into the upper nostril and briefly press the spray head.The spray head was shaped according to the natural shape of the nostril or nasal cavity to avoid injuries during use.

Then turn your head to the other side and spray into the upper nostril again.

Allow Rhinomer to act: 10 - 20 seconds for babies and small children and 1 minute for adults.

You should not blow your nose during this time, just wipe it if necessary.

Repeat process if necessary.

After use, the nose adapter should be washed with warm water and dried.

For hygienic reasons to avoid infections, the spray should only be used by one person.Since the spray does not contain any propellant, it can be used in any situation.

Possible side effects

When used as directed, Rhinomer is well tolerated.

How should Rhinomer be stored?

Keep out of the reach of children.Do not store below 0°C and not above 35°C, keep in the original packaging.The product must not be used after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
