Instructions for use for SANDRIN Film-coated tablets, 100 pcs
Instructions for use of Sandrin film-coated tablets
Sandrin film-coated tablets are a herbal medicine for calming people who are restless. The active ingredients are dry extracts from valerian root and lemon balm leaves. No prescription is required for this product.
Areas of application
Sandrin film-coated tablets are used for restlessness. Many children are restless and have difficulty sitting still.Inner restlessness can have a major impact on the child's development in the long term.Sandrin film-coated tablets help you find inner peace and promote better concentration. The medicine has a natural, internally relaxing effect, does not make you tired and is well tolerated and is also suitable for long-term therapy.
Active ingredients and ingredients
Each film-coated tablet contains 160 mg dry extract of valerian root (drug to extract ratio 3-6:1, extractant ethanol 62% (m/m)) and 80 mg dry extract of lemon balm leaves (drug to extract ratio 4-6:1, extractant ethanol 30% (m/m)).Other ingredients include, but are not limited to, crospovidone, microcrystalline cellulose, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, methyl cellulose, hydrogenated castor oil, saccharin sodium, sucrose, colloidal silicon dioxide, simeticone, stearic acid, talc, titanium dioxide, vanillin and sorbic acid.
Contraindications
Sandrin film-coated tablets must not be taken if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients. This medicine contains, among other things, sucrose (sugar). If you have a known intolerance to certain sugars, Sandrin should only be taken after consulting your doctor.
Dosage and intake
Sandrin film-coated tablets should always be taken exactly according to the instructions in the package leaflet. The usual dose is 2 film-coated tablets twice a day for children aged 6 to 12 years and 2 film-coated tablets up to 3 times a day for adults and children over 12 years of age.The film-coated tablets should be swallowed whole with sufficient liquid (preferably a glass of drinking water) and should not be taken while lying down. The duration of use is not limited in principle.
Take special care when taking
In children, Sandrin is used from the age of 6 years if non-medicinal measures do not show sufficient success. There are no sufficient studies on use in small children, so the medicine should not be used in children under 6 years of age.You should not drive motor vehicles, operate machines or carry out work without a secure footing for up to 2 hours after ingestion, as the ability to react can be impaired. This applies to an increased extent when combined with alcohol.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
The widespread use of valerian root and lemon balm leaves as medicines has so far revealed no evidence of risks during pregnancy and breastfeeding. However, there are no results from experimental studies.Sandrin should therefore not be taken during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
Side effects
Like all medicines, Sandrin can have side effects.Possible side effects include gastrointestinal complaints such as nausea and abdominal cramps. As a rule, stopping the medication is enough to make the side effects disappear. At the first signs of a hypersensitivity reaction, the medicine must not be taken again.
Storage
Keep medicines out of the reach of children. The medicine may no longer be used after the expiry date stated on the outer carton or container.Do not store above 30°C.
