BACTIGRAS contains an antiseptic, namely 0.5% chlorhexidine acetate, which has a broad spectrum of action.Therefore, the bandage can be used both for infection prophylaxis and infection treatment.Due to the white paraffin coating, BACTIGRAS serves as an adhesive protection between the wound and the secondary dressing, which enables atraumatic dressing changes.The open dressing structure of cotton gauze allows wound exudate to easily drain into an absorbent secondary dressing, such as an absorbent dressing.A special weave prevents fraying when cutting the bandage.

Area of application

BACTIGRAS is only to be used externally.The dressing is suitable for a variety of wounds that are at risk of infection or are already infected, in conjunction with systemic antibiotic therapy. BACTIGRAS can be used to treat minor burns and scalds, wounds with skin loss such as lacerations, abrasions, excision and graft wounds, and to treat leg ulcers.
