Galangal tablets 0.1 g Jura are a herbal medicine to relieve digestive problems and stimulate appetite.The active ingredient is galangal rhizome powder.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

These tablets are used for digestive problems such as flatulence and bloating as well as loss of appetite.If symptoms persist or recur, a doctor should be consulted.

Contraindications

Galangal tablets should not be taken if you are known to be hypersensitive to galangal rhizome or any of the other ingredients, or if you have stomach and/or duodenal ulcers.

Interactions

To date, there are no known interactions with other medications.

Cautions/Warnings

There are no sufficient studies on its use in children and adolescents up to 18 years of age or during pregnancy and breastfeeding.Therefore, galangal tablets should not be used in these cases.The medicine contains lactose.If you have a known intolerance to certain sugars, you should consult a doctor before taking them.

Dosage instructions, type and duration of application

Adults can take up to 5 tablets throughout the day, up to 4 times a day with meals.To increase appetite, the tablets are taken 1/2 hour before eating.The tablets should be allowed to dissolve in the mouth.The duration of use is not limited in principle, but the information under “Areas of application” should be observed.

Side effects

Possible side effects include gastrointestinal disorders.If such symptoms occur, a doctor should be informed in order to rule out other causes.If you have a hypersensitivity reaction, the tablets must not be taken again.

Composition

One tablet contains 108 mg of galangal rhizome powder as well as the other ingredients lactose monohydrate, talc, cellulose powder and highly dispersed silicon dioxide.One tablet contains 168 mg lactose, equivalent to 0.014 bread units (BE).

Storage instructions

The tablets should be kept in the original packaging and tightly closed to protect them from moisture.They must not be stored above 25°C and must be kept out of the reach of children.After opening the pack, the tablets have a shelf life of 1 year.
