The power of horse chestnut helps against “heavy legs”.Plissamur® is a herbal medicine that is used for venous diseases.It is used to treat leg vein discomfort characterized by swollen legs, varicose veins, pain, a feeling of heaviness and tension, fatigue in the legs, itching and leg cramps.

This medicine inhibits inflammation of the veins, has a vascular sealing effect, increases the tone of the veins and improves the elasticity of the vein walls.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

One coated tablet contains 200-235 mg dry extract of horse chestnut seeds (5-8:1), which corresponds to 50 mg triterpene glycosides, calculated as anhydrous aescin.The extractant is methanol 80% (v/v).

Other ingredients include lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, cellulose powder, spray-dried glucose syrup, colloidal silica, silica hydrate, carboxymethyl starch sodium (type A), stearic acid, magnesium stearate, poly(methyl acrylate-co-methyl methacrylate) (1:1), macrogol 6000, sucrose, talc,Calcium carbonate, spray-dried arabic gum, tragacanth, poly(O-acetyl) starch, titanium dioxide E 171, quinoline yellow E 104, indigo carmine E 132 and montan glycol wax.

Area of application

Plissamur® is used to treat diseases of the leg veins (chronic venous insufficiency), which are characterized by swollen legs, varicose veins, pain, a feeling of heaviness and tension, tiredness in the legs, itching and leg cramps.

Dosage and intake

Adults take one coated tablet each morning and evening.The tablets should be swallowed whole before eating with plenty of liquid, such as half a glass of water.If mild stomach or intestinal problems occur, the medicine can also be taken with meals.

Initial treatment success may only occur after a treatment period of four weeks.Long-term treatment is possible after consulting a doctor.If symptoms persist, you should speak to a doctor about continuing treatment.

Patient information

Particular caution is required when taking the preparation if the following applies: Taking the preparation does not replace other preventive measures or treatment measures such as:B. cold water or wearing medically prescribed support stockings.For diabetics, taking one coated tablet of the preparation is counted as 0.02 BE (bread units).Since there are no sufficient studies, the preparation should not be used in children under 12 years of age.

Driving and using machines: No special precautions are required.

Pregnancy

The medicine should not be used during pregnancy as experiences with pregnant women have not been adequately documented.Since it is not known to what extent the active ingredients pass into breast milk, breastfeeding should not be carried out during treatment.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to horse chestnut seed extract or any of the other ingredients of the preparation or if you suffer from liver or kidney dysfunction.

Notes

Contains lactose, glucose and sucrose (sugar).Read the package leaflet.Do not store above 25°C.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.

Other measures prescribed by the doctor, such as wrapping the legs, wearing support stockings or pouring cold water, should be strictly adhered to.If you suddenly experience unusually severe symptoms, especially in one leg, which are noticeable through swelling, discoloration of the skin, a feeling of tension or heat and pain, you should consult a doctor immediately, as these symptoms can be signs of a leg vein occlusion.
