The MicroDrop® Calimero 2 is a professional inhalation device specially developed for children aged 0 to 6 years.It includes a compressor, an RF7 plus children's nebulizer, a mouthpiece with exhalation valve, a compressed air hose, a baby angle, silicone masks in sizes XS (for babies from 0 to 12 months), S (for children from 1 to 3 years) and M (for children from 3 to 6 years), a soft mask for children, a spare filter for the compressor, a practical carrying bag and instructions for use.

This inhaler device is designed to increase adherence in children by offering a child-friendly design.With the MicroDrop® Duck Clip, inhaling becomes a fun experience as the duck becomes your best friend who also inhales.The device enables professional inhalation therapy for the lower respiratory tract in infants and children.

No prescription is required for this product.It can be prescribed by your pediatrician and is usually reimbursed at no extra charge.

Technical data

The particle spectrum of the MicroDrop® Calimero 2 is MMAD 2.53-2.72µm (valve position MIN-MAX), tested according to EN 13544-1.The mass fraction below 5 µm is 77.8-79.6%.The nebulizer performance is between 0.23-0.53 ml/min (valve MIN-MAX position).The device weighs 1.2 kg and has a nebulizer filling volume of at least 2 ml to a maximum of 8 ml. It belongs to medical device class IIa.

Advantages

The RF7 plus nebulizer enables the generation of particularly fine aerosol particles, which reach the fine branches of children's lungs in therapeutically effective quantities.The particle size can be adjusted using a speed controller on the nebulizer.A maximum nebulization rate of 0.53 ml/min allows for rapid and effective inhalation of the medication, with 2 ml of medication being nebulized in approximately 4 minutes.
