Mucosolvan lozenges 15 mg are a medicine for loosening mucus in respiratory diseases with thick mucus. They are used to treat acute and chronic diseases of the bronchi and lungs. The recommended dose is one lozenge 2-3 times a day for children aged 6 to 12 years and one lozenge 6 times a day for adolescents aged 12 years and over and adults, for the first 2-3 days, then 4 times a day. The lozenges should be sucked slowly or allowed to melt in the mouth. If the condition worsens or does not improve, a doctor should be consulted. They should be stored away from heat and in the dark. Mucosolvan lozenges contain ambroxol hydrochloride as the active substance and other ingredients such as sorbitol, maltitol, peppermint oil and eucalyptus oil. There are contraindications in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients and in case of certain diseases of the respiratory tract, kidney function or liver function. Side effects may include gastrointestinal complaints, dry mouth, numbness of the tongue, taste disorders and allergic reactions. Before use, possible interactions with other medicines should be considered. The dosage may vary depending on the doctor's prescription.
