Information for use with Biolectra Zinc 25 mg Effervescent Tablets: Biolectra Zinc is a mineral preparation for the treatment of clinically confirmed zinc deficiencies in adults, provided they cannot be corrected by dietary means. It contains 25 mg of zinc per effervescent tablet. Zinc is a vital trace element that plays an important role in various bodily functions, such as the immune system, cell growth and wound healing. The recommended dose for adults is 1/2 - 1 effervescent tablet daily. The tablet can be divided into two equal doses. It should be dissolved in half a glass of water and preferably taken after a meal. The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the zinc deficiency. There are no known side effects of Biolectra Zinc. However, when taking zinc for a long time, the copper level in the blood should also be monitored. The medicine should not be taken if there is hypersensitivity to zinc sulphate or other ingredients. There are no known special precautions regarding the ability to drive and operate machinery. There are no restrictions on the use of Biolectra Zinc during pregnancy and breast-feeding. However, the medicinal product must not be taken by children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
