Cuticerin is an ointment compress that was specially developed for wound care.It contains Eucerite and serves as a primary dressing between the wound and a secondary dressing.The compress does not stick to the wound, which allows for painless dressing changes and promotes wound rest.The ointment coating effectively protects the wound surface and edges.Excess exudate can drain into an absorbent secondary dressing.The smooth acetate fabric with its defined, small mesh size reduces the risk of ingrowth of granulation tissue.

The ointment compress is permeable to air and exudate, which prevents skin maceration.The smooth, close-meshed surface protects the granulation and epithelial tissue.The ointment coating provides additional protection of the wound surface and edges.Cuticerin enables atraumatic dressing changes and supports undisturbed wound rest.A secondary dressing is required, although various options such as absorbent compresses, film dressings or fixing bandages can be used depending on the amount of exudate.The formulation is latex-free.

Cuticerin can be used to treat superficial, exuding wounds such as burns and abrasions, radiation damage and split-thickness skin donor sites.
