Description

The preparation consists of white, round chewable tablets that contain essential nutrients for bone formation.These tablets contain calcium and vitamin D3, which are used to both prevent and treat deficiencies in the elderly.They also support specific osteoporosis therapy.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Each chewable tablet contains 1250 mg of calcium carbonate, which is equivalent to 500 mg of calcium ions.In addition, it contains 8 mg of colecalciferol dry concentrate, which corresponds to 800 international units (IE) of colecalciferol and 20 micrograms of colecalciferol.The excipients include alpha-tocopherol, isomalt, magnesium stearate, modified corn starch, sodium ascorbate, povidone, sucrose, colloidal silicon dioxide, fatty acid mono- and diglycerides, sucralose, medium-chain triglycerides, xylitol and lemon flavor.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you have an increased level of calcium in your blood or urine, have severe kidney dysfunction, suffer from kidney stones, have an increased level of vitamin D in your blood or are allergic to calcium, vitamin D or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.

Dosage

Always take the medicine exactly as described or after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.The recommended dose is one chewable tablet daily.In the event of an overdose, you should contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately.If you forget a dose, do not take a double dose.If you have any further questions, please contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Intake

The chewable tablet can be sucked or chewed.

Patient information

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking if you are receiving long-term treatment, especially if you are also taking diuretics or cardiac glycosides, have impaired kidney function, are prone to stone formation, suffer from sarcoidosis or have immobilization osteoporosis.The medicine is not intended for children and adolescents.No studies have been conducted on the effects on the ability to drive, but negative effects are unlikely.

Pregnancy

Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking during pregnancy or breastfeeding.During pregnancy, the daily intake of 1500 mg calcium and 600 IE vitamin D should not be exceeded.The medicine is therefore not suitable for use during pregnancy.The medicine can be taken during breastfeeding, although it should be noted that calcium and vitamin D3 are excreted in breast milk.
